SwimSafer is a national water safety programme introduced in July 2010 by the National Water Safety Council that aims to instruct both swimming proficiency and water survival skills.

SwimSafer is a progressive six-stage programme, which is a combination of the National Survival Swimming Award and Learn-to-Swim programme. Singapore Swimming Club offers Stages 4 – 6 of the programme.

Pre-requisites

Stage 4 – Bronze Award
• Participant must be able to swim at least 25m in front crawl, breaststroke and backstroke.

Stage 5 – Silver Award
• Participant must be able to swim at least 50m in all three strokes.

Stage 6 – Gold Award
• Participant must be able to swim at least 100m in all three strokes.
