No Outdoor Activities in Inclement Weather

For your own safety, members are strongly advised not to play outdoors or swim during thunderstorms, heavy rain or when the lightning alert is switched on.

Our duty personnel monitors the localised lightning situation closely on MyEnv, NEA’s weather app, and upon detection of lightning within 6km radius of the Club, will inform the Duty Manager who will promptly activate the lightning alert.

The lightning alert will be deactivated only when lightning is no longer detected within the 6km radius.

As this concerns the safety of our members, Duty Managers and all duty personnel have been instructed to adhere strictly to the above standard operating procedures.

Members may email feedback@sswimclub.org.sg for enquiries and suggestions on the above.

    Bye-Law 7(h)

    (i) For the safety of members, the Club Management reserves the right to suspend all outdoor activities as it deems fit during thunderstorm, heavy rain or when the lightning alert is switched on.

(ii) Members who do not comply with the advice from authorised staff to cease activities in open areas during thunderstorm, heavy rain or when the lightning alert is switched on, may be subject to disciplinary action.

    2) The contractor has also completed the installation of the pump room shelter.

    3) The project’s progress is still on schedule and the new pool is on target for completion in Q1 2019.

    4) There will be dust and noise from the construction. We seek members’ kind patience and understanding during this period.
